My Pix is a show that airs weekdays on MTV, kids can go to mtv.com.au/mypix, where they can upload a picture of themselves, request a song/clip, and andswer a few questions. Then when their requested song plays, their picture appears on screen with the questions they answered.
For the packaging, I wanted to show the range of personalities and styles of the MTV audience contributing to the show by showing 3 radically different kids in their rooms dancing around, excited to see their faces on tv.
I tried to include a few little jokes and references in the background as well, like Pitfall on the computer screen, and the AB-CD poster. The "Glam!" poster is actually a picture of MTVs promo producer and his boyfriend (he thinks he has bit of a George Michael thing going on).
I modelled/rigged/animated everything in Maya and Cinema4D, and composited in After Effects.
Total production time was just over 3 weeks.
I had to learn character rigging and animation during this period, since we were unable to find an appropriate C4D character animator who was available.
Audio design was by Lodewijk Vos.
