The Hills Takeover was a stunt that was to run on MTV every saturday throughout october where MTV would play episodes of the hills and countdowns of their favourite music clips etc.
Andy (The promo producer who produces all of promos for MTV Australia) came up with the idea of taking show footage
from other recognizable MTV shows and music videos, and "Hillsifying" them, as though the hills girls have literally taken over the channel and restyled all the shows to their liking.
I was freaking out about whether I'd be able to pull this off effectively within the time constraints (I think we had about 5 days allocated for the promo),
since this was my first time at using cinema 4D, and we didn't have any tracking software available.
I decided it would be best to just go with a stylised look rather than trying for a convincing realistic look, and managed to establish a lighting setup I was happy with.
I ended up tracking most of the footage in after effects, and then manually rotating the perspective of the objects by hand in cinema.

management saw the promo and made us pull it off air because of the bow-tie/pearl necklace shot (luckily this was the last week that it was on air anyway).
